Creativity Week 2

In this week's Creative Blog, I wanted to share an exercise I read about in a book from class called Caffeine for the Creative Mind by (Stefan Mumaw and Wendy Lee Oldfield). The creative exercise was called All Aboard! For this exercise, I was tasked with creating my own fantasy cruise ship.

My Ship will be called The Flying Dutchmen

880 feet long 100 feet wide
11 full decks

Capacity 3,000 guests 1,200 crew

Propulsion underwater gas turbines

Design

Looks like a fortress at sea crossed with a pirate galleon and a luxury liner. Think weathered wood textures, massive sails, golden cannons, and glowing lanterns. The interior will consist of glowing treasure vaults, enchanted taverns, sea creature motifs, moving paintings, glowing crystal chandeliers,

Attractions

Pirate stunt shows aerial acrobatics, sea shanty concerts, and nightly fire-dancer performances.

Pirate tavern-themed bar with bartenders in full costume, swinging chandeliers, and drink challenges.

Immersive roleplay treasure hunts across the ship using AR and physical puzzles.

Rooftop pool with glass-bottom sections, surrounded by faux shipwrecks, with glowing jellyfish projections at night.

A wild mini coaster that loops the top deck rides through tunnels and water sprays.
