Tutorial 1
How to print Black
In this tutorial, I learned the difference between 100% K and rich black.
100% K refers to a pure black color that is made using only the black ink in a CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black) color model. "K" stands for Key, which is typically the black ink in four-color printing. When you use 100% K, you're printing with just black ink and no other colors are mixed in. It's often used for text and areas that need to appear very dark, such as black text or simple graphic elements.
Rich Black Rich black, on the other hand, is a deeper, fuller black that is created by combining black ink (K) with one or more of the other primary colors (cyan, magenta, or yellow) in varying percentages. A typical rich black mix might be something like 60% Cyan, 40% Magenta, 40% Yellow, and 100% Black. This combination gives a richer, deeper black tone than just using 100% K on its own. Rich black is often used for areas where a more vibrant or darker black is needed, like backgrounds, images, and larger blocks of black. It adds depth and dimension to the print, making it look more visually striking.
Tutorial 2
Easily resize elements of your layout
In this tutorial I learned how to place artwork or text in a frame, you can still reposition or resize the frame, the contents within the frame, or both. one way I was originally resizing images was by going back and forth between the direct selection tool and the selection tool to resize each image or bounding box containting the image inside while holdoing the shift key to not warp the image. But there is a more simple way by using the Frame Fitting tool in the properties panel.
